Picture dump from the last few months.

Firstly, a little take-off of the last Dacota at Ysterplaat airfield. The last one just got a beautiful paint job and then crashed in the Drakensberg. Tragic, tragic accident. I do love the view from my flat :) I also did a bit of sewing (something non-white for a change) OK, technically this last one is cream, but it does not look like it in the picture. I also had a make-over  And just to prove what a difference that made, here is a picture of half-on half-off :)  I also had some adventures and met with friends, went to a wedding, Went to an old-fashioned drive in and started knitting on a table cloth, which, if you follow me on Instagram or facebook, was unpicked quite a bit last night due to a dropped stitch that was decreased a few times and thus unravelled down, down, down. I saved it, finally, but had to undo about a week's worth of work.  I am quite a bit further than in this picture, though.  ...

Here is the reason....

Why I've been so quiet these past few months:  Reason number 1: Knitting this jersey  Reason  2: Embroidering this tapestry Reason 3: Sewing a dress for CM (wedding in December) Anyway, this is WIP (work in progress). I am sure the official pictures will turn out much better than my attempt with backlighting.   Although the dress is done and dusted, I cannot post the pics until the wedding has actually happened.  Reason 4: CF (now S) the most spectacular dress ever!! Contrats Clemmie :) I am waiting for the official pics, but these are what I found on facebook   Reason 5: JS dress in progress Reason 6: Kids range coming soon (patterns in progress - ready to be tested on a certain RT soon)

The year flies by

SO, in July I said I would tackle all those WIP pieces that I always wanted to do. Well, hahahaha I should have known that things do not turn out like they are planned in my head. I have sewn a pair of pants for myself, only to find that they were so tight that I had to make alterations even before I wore them. Not cool, so I gave them away. Another thing I did with them was to taper the leg, like is so in voge at the moment. That also turned out to be a not so good idea, since my legs are shaped all wrong for that type of style. (Sorry no pictures for that, it was just too awful for words) What I did finish, however, was another jersey Easy pattern and to follow, from an oldish magazine I also started on another jersey - am trying a different armhole/ sleeve shape. It's striped white, turquoise and chocolate brown. I added the brown because after starting I realised that the stripes would look too much like the Western Province Rugby team. (And I am NOT a rugby fan) I...

I found these photos the other day on my camera. Knitted doily I made for my mommy. I knitted three or four while I was there, but only took a picture of one - please don't ask me why...
