Here is the reason....

Why I've been so quiet these past few months:
 Reason number 1: Knitting this jersey

 Reason  2: Embroidering this tapestry
Reason 3: Sewing a dress for CM (wedding in December) Anyway, this is WIP (work in progress). I am sure the official pictures will turn out much better than my attempt with backlighting.

 
Although the dress is done and dusted, I cannot post the pics until the wedding has actually happened.

 Reason 4: CF (now S) the most spectacular dress ever!! Contrats Clemmie :) I am waiting for the official pics, but these are what I found on facebook


 

Reason 5: JS dress in progress
Reason 6: Kids range coming soon (patterns in progress - ready to be tested on a certain RT soon)

The Wedding Planner

To all who supported me in planning Raoul's and Hannah's wedding a BIG thank you. I couldn't have done it without you guys. To be honest, I brought it on myself, when I asked all of you to pitch in, but I did not anticipate all the extra sewing way back in April. Also, come to think of it, I now know where to hire table cloths for much less than the usual price, where to have flowers done (thank you Lehane and mom), what the buttonhole pins cost (to pin the flowers to lapels) and that simple is often more effective than a big hoohaa. Thanks also to all the Wartons who wave pitched in with cleaning up without asking or having to be asked. You guys are the best! Oh, yes, the correct boning arrived two weeks after the last post, and I could use it in Hannah's dress after all. I don't know how much she could breathe, but she survived the day and now can relax on her honeymoon - breathe in all the air she can. She looked absolutely gorgeous - thanks to Enno and her magic

Finally :)

A good few years ago, my friend H went to visit her family in the states and her mom was generous enough to part with some of her stash. I blogged about the start of the quilt a while back (In february last year - go figure) and then the top wound up in the cupboard, since I was so busy sewing for other people Well, this year marked a new season, and I finally have finished it :) Doing the happy dance right now Thank you H and M.
