The Holidays are over

*sigh*
Yes, indeed they are and I was quite busy.

I: sewed a dress for my friend Mel, finally sewed my curtains,



sewed a dress for Hood no 3, went to the Se7en for dinner as payment - YUMMY PIZZA! - almost finished a jacket for myself with fabric that has been lying in my cupboard for 10 years (yes, yes, I'm a hoarder).



Finished knitting a jersey and then used the rest of the wool to start a baby blanket.


I: baked three recipes of German Christmas cookies and a batch of bread



I: read 12 books

I: met with friends and just slept late. Not much time to veg, but at least I did not have to worry about getting up early, dressed and ready for work by a certain time.

With all the busyness I did not get time to write the many blog entries for God's Fashion House, but they will happen soon, I promise.

The Wedding Planner

To all who supported me in planning Raoul's and Hannah's wedding a BIG thank you. I couldn't have done it without you guys. To be honest, I brought it on myself, when I asked all of you to pitch in, but I did not anticipate all the extra sewing way back in April. Also, come to think of it, I now know where to hire table cloths for much less than the usual price, where to have flowers done (thank you Lehane and mom), what the buttonhole pins cost (to pin the flowers to lapels) and that simple is often more effective than a big hoohaa. Thanks also to all the Wartons who wave pitched in with cleaning up without asking or having to be asked. You guys are the best! Oh, yes, the correct boning arrived two weeks after the last post, and I could use it in Hannah's dress after all. I don't know how much she could breathe, but she survived the day and now can relax on her honeymoon - breathe in all the air she can. She looked absolutely gorgeous - thanks to Enno and her magic

Finally :)

A good few years ago, my friend H went to visit her family in the states and her mom was generous enough to part with some of her stash. I blogged about the start of the quilt a while back (In february last year - go figure) and then the top wound up in the cupboard, since I was so busy sewing for other people Well, this year marked a new season, and I finally have finished it :) Doing the happy dance right now Thank you H and M.
